The microphones we know as lavalier are one of the tools that we have in our work as sound artists.
This book aims to explain, from professional experience as a sound guy for more than 20 years, how to make the right decisions when deciding how to hide a microphone in the body of an actor/actress or an interviewee and how to offer alternatives to wire them correctly and professionally.
The clothes, the types of fabrics, the accessories, the objects that are manipulated in the scene, the position of the camera and its value of shot, the illumination, and the makeup, are some of the factors that condition the good use of a lavalier.
We are hired to make sound an invisible matter. Our main function, when working in an audiovisual production, is to capture the sound directly on the set or location as clear, crisp, and clean as possible,
